Studie interakcí in vivo nebyly prováděny.Na základě studií in vitro se nepředpokládá, že by betahistin inhiboval enzymy cytochromu P450.
Údaje získané in vitro ukazují inhibici metabolismu betahistinu léčivy, která inhibují
monoaminooxidázu (MAO), včetně MAO typu B (např. selegilin). Při užití betahistinu současně
s inhibitory MAO (včetně selektivního MAO-B) se doporučuje opatrnost.
Vzhledem k tomu, že betahistin je analogem histaminu, může interakce betahistinu s antihistaminiky
teoreticky ovlivnit účinnost obou těchto léků.
