Food interactions and other recommendationsPerinalon 4 mg/ 1,25 mg combi: Herbs that may attenuate the antihypertensive effect of perindopril include: bayberry, blue cohash, cayenne, ephedra, ginger, ginseng (American), kola and licorice. High salt intake may attenuate the antihypertensive effect of perindopril. Perindopril may decrease the excretion of potassium. Salt substitutes containing potassium may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. Take without regard to meals.
Atenolol al 25: Consult your doctor before taking large amounts of Vitamin K (Green leafy vegetables). Take 30-60 minutes before meals, take at the same time each day.
Cerucal: Food reduces availability, take 30 minutes before meals. Avoid alcohol.
Stadamet: Avoid alcohol. Take with food to reduce gastric irritation.
Amaryl: Avoid alcohol. Even though food reduces product absorption, the manufacturer recommends taking the product with the first meal of the day.
Torvacard 20: Avoid alcohol. Avoid drastic changes in dietary habit. Avoid taking grapefruit or grapefruit juice throughout treatment. Grapefruit can significantly increase serum levels of this product. Food may decrease maximum plasma levels and area under the curve, but this is clinically inconsequential according to the manufacturer. Take with low fat meal.
Carsaxa: Avoid alcohol, alcohol appears to cause a 50 to 100% increases in ASA serum levels. Take with a full glass of water. Take with food to reduce gastric irritation.
